FIELD SERVICE

Biogas produced from anaerobic digestion is typically wet, dirty, and contains corrosive elements such as hydrogen sulfide. The gas is flammable and provides a potential safety hazard if not handled properly. Because of these unique properties of biogas require, special consideration must be given to the design of the gas handling system, especially in regards to maintainability and safe operation under all conditions of the anaerobic process.

SITE SURVEYS

Our Field Service Engineer will survey your existing biogas system and provide a comprehensive report that will:

1. Troubleshoot causes for existing operation problems on your biogas system.
2. Provide recommendations that will provide an immediate or temporary solution fix to address the existing operations problem, as well as, offer a permanent fix.

The site walkthroughs have proven to be a great tool that helped the Plant develop a budget that addresses its future needs for rehabilitation and/or upgrade.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS

Our qualified and experienced field service engineers are available for professional and timely periodic maintenance of installed Varec equipment. It is our aim to provide cost effective Periodic Maintenance Service so that the Varec equipment will:

• Perform to the factory specifications.
• Produce maximum process up time.
• Help our customer accomplish their objectives.

Our Service personnel will visit your facilities on your chosen schedule. A typical schedule is a semi-annual visit. The scope of work is listed, but not limited to the following:

1. Inspect the condition of equipment. Based on our experience, Varec Biogas will assist you in avoiding future problems due to improper installation and/or location problems.
2. Verify the correct operation of the equipment and make the necessary adjustments and/or calibrations.
3. Certify calibration to within the published factory specifications.
4. Where necessary, lubricate the mechanical devices.
5. Where necessary, inspect and replace parts of installed Varec equipment.
6. Provide a detailed written report of the findings and the solutions - including recommended parts replacement.
7. Provide free telephone technical support 24 hours per a day, Monday through Friday.
8. Furnish updated documentation to you at no charge.

Besides the obvious benefit of having your equipment maintained and properly functioning, Varec provides the option of:

1. Incorporating personnel training.
2. Repair demonstrations.

This will assist in keeping your Operators working to their highest potential. Having a Preventive Maintenance Contract provides you, our customer, with a predictable yearly Operations and Maintenance budget for the Varec equipment. Varec Biogas will consider a maintenance contract with a plant where a non-Varec product has been installed. A site survey would be a prerequisite.

ON-SITE OPERATOR TRAINING

Our qualified and training Field Service Engineers are lending their expertise in digester gas safety equipment and making it available at your doorstep.

The training course offers operators valuable information on the proper installation, operation and maintenance of the digester gas handling system.

Training Objective

At the conclusion of the training, the operators will have a basic comprehension on the installation, operation and maintenance of the installed Varec equipment.

The Varec Instructor shall provide all visual aids and training manual packets at the time of the training.

Each attendee receives:

• Training manual that includes information covered in the seminar, plus additional information and data on Varec Biogas Safety and Handling Equipment for future reference.
• A Training Certificate containing name, date of seminar, seminar title, and material content.
